Velda Harriel
GRAYRIDGE - Velda Harriel, 46, died at 5:35 p.m. Jan. 21, 2002, at her home.
Born Dec. 25, 1955, at Catron, daughter of Roy B. and Louise Davidson of Canalou, she was a housewife, homemaker and a member of the Morehouse Assembly of God Church.
On Aug. 11, 1976, in Rome, Ga., she married Leonard "Lenny" Harriel, who survives of the home.
In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Misty Lynn and Steven Stucker of Grayridge; two daughters, Sara Nichole Harriel and Samantha Louise Harriel of the home; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Juanita English of Benson, N.C.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Fontain English of Canalou and Ramona and Michael Coffee of Benton; one grandson, Clayton Samuel Harriel; one special niece, Christy Boyd; two nephews, Roy Clayton English Jr., and Joseph Michael Coffee; two nieces, Kerri Lynn Coffee and Kasey Michelle Coffee; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son and one brother.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. John Goss, pastor of the Morehouse Assembly of God Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Essex Cemetery.
