Clinton Aslin
HAUGHTON, La. - Clint Harold Aslin, 68, died Dec. 9, 2001, in Haughton.
Born March 19, 1933, in Bloomfield, Mo., son of the late Ernest and Eva Aslin, he lived in Haughton for the past 25 years. After graduating in 1954 from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he served in the Air Force ROTC, he was a pilot and command officer with various duties in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years. He retired in 1980 as a lieutenant colonel and a veteran of foreign wars. He was a member of the Order of the Daedalians. Aslin worked in real estate for the next 12 years and was a member of the sheriff's posse in Bossier Parish.
His wife, Berta Wallace Aslin, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Josh Cohen of Arlington, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Terry Aslin of Mead, Okla.; one brother, Gorty Aslin of Bloomfield; and one grandson, Anthony Aslin of Mead.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carmen Aslin and Kenneth Aslin; and one sister, Leah Fischer.
Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. The Rev. Ron Dunavin, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiated.
Burial followed in the Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield.
Pallbearers were: Bill Aslin, Clint Aslin, Josh Cohen, Tim Aslin, Bob Aslin and Bob Aslin Jr.
