Branon Garrett
DEXTER - Branon Garrett, 78, died Dec. 14, 2001, at his home.
Born Oct. 1, 1923, in Stoddard County, son of the late T.M. and Clyde Palmer Garrett, he was a retired truck driver and lived in Michigan before moving to Dexter 35 years ago. He was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On Oct. 29, 1967, in Dexter, he married Zelpha Harris who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Robert Garrett of Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Jeanne Kirby and Karen Wendorff of Detroit; two stepsons, Darrell Teeters and Garey Teeters of Yucaipa, Calif.; two sisters, Ora Powers and Hilda Ellis of Zepher Hillis, Fla.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Monday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Phil Warren of Dexter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
