DEXTER - Thomas G. Taylor, 89, died Jan. 22, 2002, at Cypress Point Health Care.

Born Oct. 17, 1912, in Essex, son of the late W.R. and Mary Caroline McMullin Taylor, he was a member of the United Methodist Church in Essex. He was stationed with the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II and was a retired farmer.

On Feb. 12, 1948, at Dexter, he married Vivian Lucille Ross who preceded him in death on June 3, 1988.

Survivors include: two sons, Arlan Taylor of Dexter and Scott Taylor of Bloomfield; one brother, Charles Taylor of Essex; and five granddaughters.

Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Max Taylor, Howard Taylor and James Taylor; and four sisters, Maurine Taylor, Mary Vinson, Grace Stuart and Lollie Chrisman.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Ernie Rogers officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
