Eddie Golightly
CHARLESTON - Edward Lee "Eddie" Golightly, 53, died at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 22, 2002, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Dec. 5, 1948, in Charleston, son of Christine Counts Golightly Cogdill of Charleston and the late Edward A. "Pete" Golightly, he was a lifelong resident of Charleston and member of Elm Street Baptist Church. He had been employed in construction.
Survivors in addition to his mother include: one son, William Edward Golightly of Charleston; one brother, David Allen Golightly of Marion, Ark.; three sisters, Cathy Martin of Paducah, Ky., Jeannie Anderson of Charleston and Brenda Reed of Sikeston; one stepbrother, George Cogdill Jr. of East Prairie; one stepsister, Carolyn Childers of Charleston; his stepfather, George Cogdill of Charleston; one granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Larry Neal, David Malloy, Danny Naile, Chris Francis, Jason Neal and Bobby Finley.
