Skipper Robbins
DEXTER - Cecil "Skipper" Robbins, 55, died Feb. 25, 2002, at his home.
Born Dec. 26, 1946, at Dexter, to the late Clacy W. and Bonnie Robbins, he attended school in Dexter and spent four years in the U.S. Navy where he served in Vietnam. He had spent several years on the East Coast working as a cabinet maker and construction worker. He returned to Dexter a year ago and had attended the ARK of Hope and the Freedom Worship Centers in Dexter.
Survivors include: Dorothy Bledsoe, who raised him; one son, Stephen Robbins of Dexter; three sisters, Debra Morse of Dexter, Nelda Poeppelmeyer of Bloomfield and Clacy R. Robbins of Houston, Texas; and a special friend, Barbara Nard of Dexter.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday with David Looney and David Hardin of Dexter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
