William Holleman

EAST PRAIRIE - William Holleman, 95, died at 6:35 a.m. Feb. 25, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Born Oct. 12, 1906, in McCory, Ark., to the late Jim and Alice Goodwin Holleman, he had lived in East Prairie since 1955. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II.

On Sept. 30, 1930, at Charleston, he married Ruby L. Jeffries, who died May 27, 1991.

Survivors include: one brother, Chester Holleman of Pinion Hills, Calif.; and one sister, Ida Leisinger of Kinsburg, Calif.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Martin Lucas officiating.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by the Missouri Honors Program.
