Liza Suggs

SIKESTON - Liza Suggs, 93, died Aug. 5, 2002, at Sikeston Health Care.

Born July 5, 1909, in Yalo Busha County near Oakland, Miss., daughter of the late Wilson and Winnie Williams Suggs, she had lived in Missouri for more than 30 years. She was a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church and its Mothers' Board.

Survivors include: one niece whom she raised, Pearl Bland of Oakland; and many other great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at 11 a.m. at the Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Sylvester Morgan, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
