Ida Singleton

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Ida P. Singleton, 85, died May 6, 2002, at the Kansas University Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 25, 1917, in Sikeston, Mo.

Survivors include: one son, Leo Ward of Kansas City; two daughters, Marcella Buchanan of Belton, Mo., and Pauline Duenkel of Fullerton, Kan.; four stepdaughters, Sue Hodge of Bertrand, Penny Oliver and Betty Robeson of Sikeston and Judy Williams of Jackson, Mo.; and 34 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Martha Jane Thomas in 2000.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Simmons Funeral Home in Kansas City, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday.

Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
