Everett Davis

MALDEN - Everett Davis, 68, formerly of Puxico and Blytheville, Ark., died May 8, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 2, 1934, in Blytheville, son of the late Elmer and Connie Overton Davis, he was a retired mechanic and row crop farmer and was affiliated with Christ Gospel Church in Puxico.

On March 14, 1951, in Bloomfield, he married Maggie Elizabeth Stevenson who preceded him in death on Oct. 23, 1987.

Survivors include: two daughters, Jackie Daniels and Ruth Ann Hodge of Puxico; two sons, Eugene Davis of Bloomfield and Larry Davis of Advance; three sisters, Vera Presley of St. Louis, Katheryn Harlan of Springfield and Betty Moore of Campbell; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Joyce Smith of Malden.

Visitation begins at 5:30 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Tim Hedge of Puxico and the Rev. Charles Newell of Jackson will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
