Gladys Callow
BELL CITY - Gladys Callow, 96, died June 10, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Jan. 27, 1906, in Tiptonville, Tenn., daughter of the late Walter and Ada Baker Blanks, she retired as a machine operator for the Oran Hat Factory. She was a member of Hooe Baptist Church near Oran, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
On July 15, 1923, she married Elmer J. Callow who preceded her in death on April 3, 1986.
Also preceding her in death were four sons, one brother, two sisters and three great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: one son, Dale Callow of Advance; two daughters, Mary Bryeans of Poplar Bluff and Ruby Faulconer of Holiday Island, Ark.; and 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hooe Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
Pallbearers will be: Curtis Faulconer, Wesley Faulconer, David Callow, Shane Callow, Ladd Callow, Matt Callow and Elmer Callow.
