Claudia Williams

SIKESTON - Claudia Mae Williams, 65, died June 6, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Aug. 16, 1936, in Grenada, Miss., to Mary Mitchell Williamson of Sikeston and the late Frank Williamson Sr., she was a member of the Freewill Missionary Baptist Church.

Her husband, Lester Williams Sr. who survives of Rockford, Ill.

Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include: four sons, Lester Williams Jr., Chester Williams and Mark Williams of Sikeston and Jimmy Williams of Belleville, Ill.; two daughters, Nadine Chamberlain of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Teresa Williams of Sikeston; two brothers, Frank Williamson Jr. and Elijah Williamson of Sikeston; four sisters, Mary Francis Parker, Essie Mae Calvin and Bobbie Lee McCain of Sikeston and Clara Mae Barton of Oakland, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Visitation is from noon Wednesday until service time at 1 p.m. at the Freewill Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Victor Williams, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery.
