SCOTT CITY -- Jean Margaret Palmer, 71, died at 3:15 p.m. July 18, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born Jan. 5, 1936, at Caseyville, Ill., to the late Mark Leroy and Marie Exilda Randall Fults Sr., she was a bookkeeper for Auto Trim Design and a member of Cape Girardeau South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses...

SCOTT CITY -- Jean Margaret Palmer, 71, died at 3:15 p.m. July 18, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 5, 1936, at Caseyville, Ill., to the late Mark Leroy and Marie Exilda Randall Fults Sr., she was a bookkeeper for Auto Trim Design and a member of Cape Girardeau South Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

On Sept. 19, 1953, at Cape Girardeau, she married Other Glenn Palmer who preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1990.

Survivors include: four sons, Lawrence Palmer of Fruitland, Matthew Palmer of Augusta, Maine, Mark Palmer of Benton and Brian Palmer of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Barbara Bain of Scott City, Brenda Oliver of Evanston, Wyo., and Laura McCaffrey of Clarksville, Tenn.; two brothers, Mark Fults of St. Louis and Donald Fults of Racine, Wis.; and 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at Scott City.
