Evie Johnson
LOHMAN - Evie Mae Johnson, 80, died July 7, 2004, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
Born June 5, 1924, in Henderson Mounds, daughter of the late Eddie Lee and Florence Miller Morgan, she attended school in Matthews and was a member of the First Church of God in Jefferson City. She loved to quilt and garden.
On June 20, 1942, at Charleston, she married Jessie A. Johnson who preceded her in death in 1995.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Charles A. and Peggy Johnson of Farwell, Texas; three daughters and one son-in-law, Glenda E. Johnson of Peoria, Ill., Betty and Michael Nash of Lohman and Sharon S. Johnson of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Charles A. and wife Dawn Johnson II of Clovis, N.M., Erin and husband Wade Loar of Arkadelphia, Ark., and Phillip R. Nash of Lohman; two great-grandchildren, Madison Johnson and Charles A. Johnson III; and several nieces and nephews, including Russell Carr of Arnold, with whom she was raised.
Two sisters and five brothers also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel in Jefferson City, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Gary Murrell will officiate.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
