Marshall Moore
SIKESTON - Marshall Bennett Moore, 67, died July 6, 2004, at his home.
Born Nov. 15, 1936, in Bloomfield, son of the late Elisha Buckner and Fern Bennett Moore, he was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church. He served as a military policeman with the U.S. Army and was employed by the Sikeston Department of Public Safety for 30 years before retiring. He then worked as a meter reader for SEMO Rural Electric Coop.
On April 8, 1979, he married Wanda Cowell who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, David Allen Moore of Cosby, Tenn.; one stepson, Terry Hamlin of Sikeston; three stepdaughters, Jeanene Wilson and Sherrie Hamlin of Sikeston and Jennifer Wamble of Marston; and five grandchildren.
One brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday.
Full military honors will be conducted at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Pallbearers will be uniformed officers of the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Arthur Bruce, James Terrell, Leon Culp, Thurman Burns, Dill Walker, Bill Smith, Sam Chadd, Dick Sherrard and Robert Davis.
