Marie Briggs

PORTAGEVILLE - Theresa "Marie" Briggs, 88, died July 6, 2002, at the Portageville Nursing Home.

Born Dec. 29, 1913, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Cravens LeSieur, she was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church.

Survivors include: one son, Charles L. "Yogi" Briggs of Portageville; and one sister, Kathleen Robbs of West Palm Beach, Fla.

She was preceded in death by one brother, John LeSieur.

Services were conducted today at St. Eustachius Catholic Church with the Rev. Hank Grodecki officiating.

Burial followed in the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Sam Pikey, Jerry Scherer, George Hobbs, Jim Lindley, Norman VanAmburg and Jerry Warren.

Honorary pallbearers were: Jim Fieldmeir, Joe Moore, Dick Atwill, Joe DeLisle and Bill Foster.
