Clyde Essary
PORTAGEVILLE - Clyde Edward Essary, 64, died Feb. 7, 2002, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
Born Oct. 15, 1937, in Poplar Bluff, son of the late Raymond Otis and Mary Christine Clark, he was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an installation and repair man for Southwestern Bell for 28 years.
On Feb. 8, 1958, at Poplar Bluff, he married Louise Marvel who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph Bryan and Pam Essary of Little Rock, David Martin Essary and Raymond Nell and Judy Essary of Poplar Bluff and John Andrew Essary of West Memphis, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Essary and Michael West of West Memphis; three brothers, Joe Essary of Hermitage, Tenn., and Pat Essary and Michael Essary of Poplar Bluff; four sisters, Phyllis Bush of Oklahoma City, Okla., Clare Porvaznick of Whitehall, Pa., and Mary Bilotti and Laura Hinchey of Little Rock; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James O. Essary; and one sister, Rita Gardner.
Visitation will begin after 5 p.m. Sunday at DeLisle Funeral Home where a prayer service is scheduled for 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Eustachius Catholic Church with the Rev. Hank Grodecki officiating.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
