Bernice Parks

BLOOMFIELD -- Sarah Bernice Parks, 84, died June 28, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Oct. 15, 1917, at Bloomfield, daughter of the late Walter Daniel and Armittie Josephine Wren Shurm, she was a lifelong resident of Bloomfield, where she was homemaker.

Survivors include: three sons, Don Parks and Bobby Parks of Bloomfield and Bill Parks of Benton; five daughters, Mary Duncan, Shirley Burton, Ruth Parks, Karen Parks and Onie Parks, all of Bloomfield; two sisters, Dorothy Link and Nellie Wampler; and 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, two sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday.

Burial will follow in the Hollis Cemetery at Acorn Ridge.
