Charles Woolf
BENTON - Charles Stevens Woolf, 88, died at 10 p.m. March 19, 2003, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born April 30, 1914, in Tolu, Ky., son of the late John Thomas and Myra Tom Stevens Woolf, he was a retired farmer. He retired in 1984 from Edwards Fertilizer in Cerro Gordo, Ill.
On April 14, 1934, at Elizabethtown, Ill., he married Nelma Louise Fuller who preceded him in death on April 14, 1982.
Survivors include: three sons, John Stevens Woolf of Calvert City, Ky., Robert Stanley Woolf of Oran and Cleve Barrett Woolf of Benton; four daughters, Charley Nell Campbell of Evansville, Ind., Mary Ruth Jackson of New Madrid, Myra Richbourg of Benton and Susan Carol Watson of Springfield, Ill.; and 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were two sons, Dwight David Woolf who died in Vietnam and Paul Woolf; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Woolf; and one sister, Elizabeth Woolf Weldon.
A memorial service was conducted Saturday at Ford and Sons Benton Chapel with the Rev. Scott Sutton officiating.
