Vera Jones

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Vera L. Jones, 74, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Aug. 29, 2002, in Salt Lake City.

Born April 28, 1928, in Searcy, Ark., she was the daughter of the late James P. and Lillie Mae Ellenburg Saulter.

In January 1946, she married Lloyd A. Jones who preceded her in death in July 1958.

Survivors include: two sons, James D. Jones and Daniel L. Butler of Salt Lake City; seven daughters, Margaret Hall, Iris Lopez, Jane Jones, Carolyn Neilson, Teri Dennison, Cheryl Mathias and Loy D. Gurule of Salt Lake City; one brother, James Buster Saulter of St. Charles, Mo.; six sisters, Verda Mae Tinsley of Charleston, Mo., Varna "Sis" Cagle of Kewanee, Mo., Verna Lyons and Holly Causey of Salt Lake City, Jeannie Dixon of St. George and June Eastwood of Sikeston, Mo.; one stepbrother, Gene Cagle of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Sept. 1 at the Memorial Mortuary in Salt Lake City.

Burial followed in the Elysian Burial Gardens.
