Herman McRoy
OVERLAND - Herman Hoover McRoy, 73, died Sept. 16, 2002, at his home.
Born July 7, 1929, at Aid, son of the late Alex and Oma Mae Boman McRoy, he had spent most of his life in the St. Louis community and was retired from Cyclone Fence Company. He attended the Breckenridge Assembly of God Church.
On Sept. 16, 1977, he married Carol Cross who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Tom McRoy of St. Louis and Glen McRoy of Warrenton; five daughters, Joyce Collins of St. Charles, Barbara Hale of Mayfield, Ky., Dee Scarborough of Moscow Mills, Misty Scarborough of Leadwood and Tammy Ellsworth of Overland; two brothers, Bill McRoy of Bloomfield and Bob McRoy of Kentucky; three sisters, Mary Gilbee of Overland, Ida Robinson of Iowa and Katherine Lay of Bloomfield; and 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday.
Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield.
