PORTAGEVILLE - Gracie Alene Cato Viverette, 47, died Oct. 24, 2003, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Nov. 30, 1955, in Gideon, daughter of Curtis Adams of Clarkton and the late Pearl Adams, she graduated from Clarkton High School and was a member of the Stanfield Baptist Church in Clarkton. She was a licensed practical nurse at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
On March 14, 1980, in Portageville, she married Arthur Lewis Viverette who preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 2001.
Survivors in addition to her father include: two sons, Arthur Lewis Viverette Jr. and Jamison Viverette of Portageville; two daughters, Jessica Viverette and Brandi Viverette of Portageville; three brothers, James Adams of Neosho, Ronnie Cato of Blytheville, Ark. and Roy Adams of Copperas Cove, Texas; six sisters, Barbara Farthuz of Dalton, Neb., Linda Turner of Sidney, Neb., Ann McPherson and Dorothy Brown of Lawton, Okla., Iris Putney of Petersburg, Va., Sharon Davis of Cushing, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Erica and Caleb of Portageville and Britney and Isiah of Lilbourn.
One brother, Melvin Adams, also preceded her in death.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Jack Allen will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
