SIKESTON - Thurman Beeson, 55, died at 7:25 a.m. Oct. 26, 2003, at his home.

Born April 17, 1948, in Sikeston, son of Clera E. Littrell Beeson of Sikeston and W.T. Beeson, who preceded him in death on June 4, 1982, he had been a deputy with the New Madrid County Sheriff's Department and security guard for Noranda Aluminum in New Madrid County. He had owned and operated Thurman's MFA Station in New Madrid and was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Survivors in addition to his mother include: one son, Tony Beeson of Sikeston; his fiancee, Barbara Flippo of Sikeston; one brother, Tommy Beeson of Sikeston; two sisters, Karen McBride of State Road, N.C., and Jacqueline Hubbert of Benton; and two grandsons and one stepgranddaughter.

One brother, Bobby Carl Beeson, preceded him in death in August 2002.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Randy Lemons, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
