Ruby Withrow

PORTAGEVILLE - Ruby Withrow, 89, died Oct. 21, 2003, at the Portageville Nursing Center.

Born May 8, 1914, in Missouri, she was the daughter of the late John Amos and Senath D. Gourley Byrd.

Her husband, Joe Withrow, preceded her in death in 1976.

Survivors include: one son, Ronnie Withrow of Portageville; one brother, Elvis Earl Byrd of Scott City; two sisters, Edith Marie Woodham of Malden and Gloria Jean Hampton of DeKalb, Ill.; and four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jessie Byrd and William Byrd and two in infancy.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Ken Jones will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
