Nettie King
MATTHEWS - Jeanetta "Nettie" King, 97, died July 21, 2002, at Sells Rest Home.
Born June 12, 1905, in Huntsville, Ark., daughter of the late John and Martha Cowan Walker, she had lived in the Morehouse and Grayridge areas and was a member of the Morehouse Oneness Pentecostal Church.
On Feb. 11, 1921, in Keota, Okla., she married Robert A. King who preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1972.
Survivors include: one son, Truman King of Encinitas, Calif.; one daughter, Maxine Pearce of Heber Springs, Ark.; and six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Floye Davis and Opal Lavern King; and three sisters, one brother and one granddaughter.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. Thursday until service time at 11 a.m. at the Morehouse Oneness Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Jimmie Vent of Morehouse will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Morehouse is in charge of arrangements.
