Duresilla Mhoon

SIKESTON -- Duresilla Anderson Mhoon, 79, died July 26, 2002, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 23, 1923, in Clarksdale, Ark., daughter of the late Asberry and Sallie Anderson, she had lived in Missouri over 50 years and was of the Baptist belief.

On March 30, 1939, in Crawfordville, Ark., she married Ivery Mhoon who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: nine sons, Ivery Mhoon Jr. of Davenport, Iowa, Nathan Mhoon of Elyria, Ohio, Asbery Mhoon of Oklahoma City, Okla., Willie G. Mhoon of St. Louis, and Charles Mhoon, Eddie Mhoon, Roscoe Mhoon, Melvin Mhoon and Edward Mhoon of Sikeston; three daughters, Annie Mhoon of Charleston and Linda Mhoon and Lorene Coleman of Sikeston; one sister, Pearlie Edward of Turrell, Ark.; and 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from noon Wednesday until service time at 1 p.m. at the West End Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kevin Coleman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
