Floy Lowery

EAST PRAIRIE - Floy Marie Lowery, 90, died at 2:30 a.m. June 27, 2004, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born June 15, 1914, at Scott City, daughter of the late Joseph and Jessie Mayfield Gottlob, she lived in Mississippi County most of her life and was of the Pentecostal belief.

On April 14, 1941, she married Henry Lowery who preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1984.

Survivors include: one daughter, Loretta Hedges of East Prairie; one brother Roy Gottlob of Scott City; two sisters, Geraldine Dunn of Cape Girardeau and Fern Bryant of Evansville, Ind.; and 15 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Betty J. Roberts and Mary F. Asberry; and one brother and two sisters.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday. Mike Johnson will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
