Lamona Backus

DEXTER - Lamona Backus, 62, died Aug. 17, 2002, at her home.

Born Sept. 15, 1939, at London, Ark., daughter of the late Henry DeWitt Becker and Agnes Braswell Becker, she was a housekeeper and member of the Dexter Church of Christ.

On Dec. 29, 1963, at Bell City, she married Jerry Lee Backus who preceded her in death on June 25, 1995.

Survivors include: two sons, Tim Backus of Jackson and Todd Backus of Puxico; one daughter, Terri Ward of Dexter; two brothers, Desmond Becker and Dalton Becker of Dexter; and four grandchildren.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dexter Church of Christ with Michael Yates, Jim Faughn and Dale Grissom officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
