LILBOURN - Frederick Paul "Freddy" Riley, 52, died Aug. 18, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid.

Born Feb. 10, 1950, in Sikeston, son of Pauline Riley of Lilbourn and the late Paul Riley, he retired as a truck driver and was a member of the Catron Baptist Church. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era and later served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: a son, Scott Riley of Lilbourn; daughter, Amy McElveen of New Madrid; son, Paul Allen Riley of San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Polly Riley of Mexico, Mo.; one brother, Pete Taylor of New Madrid; two sisters, Shirley Taylor of Lilbourn and Sharon Riley Gibson of Kevil, Ky.; and two grandchildren, Grace Riley and Payne Riley of Lilbourn.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Don Stephens, pastor of the First Baptist Church and the Rev. Bill Reed, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.

Pallbearers will be: Melvin Caylor, Stanley Stokes, Lyman Brooks, Joey Taylor, Jeff Taylor, Doug Scott and Harold Allred.
