Elbert Sadler

AID - Elbert Leander Sadler, 81, died Sept. 29, 2002, at his home.

Born May 8, 1921, in Bernie, son of the late Richard L. and Lily Ramsey Sadler, he had lived in the Aid community since 1949. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.

On March 31, 1951, at Piggott, Ark., he married Carzenia Masterson who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Linda Allen of Amarillo, Texas, and Janet Smith of Dexter; two sisters, Eleanor Leirer of Gideon and Louise Smith of Dexter; two brothers, Marion Sadler of Austin, Texas, and Reeves Sadler of Tucson, Ariz.; and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Bernie Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Summers of Poplar Bluff officiating.
