Willie Fletcher
BERTRAND -- Willie Morrow Fletcher, 87, died at 6 a.m. Sept. 30, 2002, at the Bertrand Retirement Facility.
Born April 24, 1915, in Red Bay, Ala., daughter of the late Robert and Sarah Belle George Morrow, she had lived in Scott and Mississippi Counties most of her life and had been employed with the Buckner Ragsdale Store in Charleston before her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bertrand.
On June 19, 1961, she married Armer Fletcher who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1983.
Survivors include: two sons, Jim Hughes of Cerritos, Calif., and William Hughes of Joplin; one daughter, Carolyn Bell of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Raymond Morrow of Bertrand; one sister, Louise Funderburk of Cerritos; and seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Four brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Robert Herring, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bertrand, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
