Mary Vetter

COMMERCE -- Mary Helen Vetter, 59, died at 1:50 p.m. Sept. 28, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Nov. 2, 1942, in Kaskaskia, Ill., daughter of the late Clarence and Llolav Summers Biri, she was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 6407 in Scott City and the Commerce Better Community Club. A homemaker, she attended Commerce Baptist Church.

On April 16, 1960, in Ancell, she married Lawrence "Buddy" Vetter Jr. who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Fred Vetter and Coy Dwayne Vetter of Commerce; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today with Ladies Auxiliary Service at 6 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City with the Rev. Chad Bles officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce.
