Chester Pulliam

KANSAS CITY - Chester Lewis Pulliam, 91, died Sept. 9, 2002, at the New Mark Care Center.

Born June 10, 1911, in Doniphan, son of the late Lewis and Flora Pulliam, he was a minister from 1945 until retiring in the early 1980s, during which time he had served as pastor of several churches. He was a past minister of the Missouri East Conference of the United Methodist Church.

His wife, Ruth Pulliam, preceded him in death.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Chester Lewis and Deborah Pulliam Jr. of Fayetteville, Ark.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Flora Mae and Jack Hall of Springfield, Sharon and Steve Bordon of Mississippi and Jeannette Singleton of Kansas City; and 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Interment Chapel in Kansas City, where services will be conducted at noon Thursday.

Burial will follow in the Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.
