Anita Leonard

PORTAGEVILLE -- Anita Mae Leonard, 60, died May 10, 2003, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

Born Aug. 10, 1942, in Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Myrtle Ruth Ward Sutton.

On Oct. 8, 1959, in Portageville, she married Doyle Leonard who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Charles Edward Leonard, Ray Leonard and Gary Don Leonard of Portageville; two daughters, Carolyn Leonard and Mary Durbin of Portageville; one sister, Jo Armstrong of Bakersfield, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Eugene Sutton and Arthur Boyd Sutton; and one sister, Mary Lou Smith.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Mark Inman will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
