Mildred Pruett
RED BANK, Tenn. - Mildred Pruett, 72, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died at 4 p.m. May 8, 2003, at her home.
Born May 10, 1920, in Centerville, Tenn., daughter of the late Henry L. and Ethel A. Bailey Lewis, she retired from the Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston, Mo., and was of the Baptist belief.
Her husband, Doris D. "Doc" Pruett, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Johnny B. Pruett of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one brother, Henry H. Lewis of Villa Park, Ill.; three sisters, Martha Hopgood of Fenton, Mo., Bonnie Hoskins of Gleason, Tenn., and Peggy Valentine of Paris, Tenn.; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, John Martin Pruett; and four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday with David Dowdy, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
