Hila Peterson

PORTAGEVILLE - Hila E. Peterson, 84, died Nov. 12, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid.

Born March 25, 1918, in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lucy Ross Patton.

On Dec. 11, 1936, in Caruthersville, she married Robert Henry Peterson who preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1986.

Survivors include: three brothers, Pierce Patton of Ypsilanti, Mich., and J.D. Patton and Kenneth Patton of Portageville; and four sisters, Opal Gamlin of San Diego, Calif., Minnie Alice Clay of Portageville, Ann Hughey of Blytheville, Ark., and Lavern Belend of Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Odell Patton, Alfred Patton and Burl Patton; and one sister, Margaret Patton.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with Dr. Tom Walls, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jimmie Clay, Richard Kraus, Gary Hughey, Harley Bradley, Van Patton, Mark Patton and James Patton.
