NEW MADRID -- Minnie Garner Baker, 90, died Nov. 13, 2002, at her daughter's home in New Madrid.

Born Sept. 28, 1912, in Cardwell, daughter of the late George Washington and Millie Nance Boyles, she had lived most of her life in Dexter and the last two years in New Madrid. She was a member of the Victory Temple in Dexter.

Survivors include: one daughter, Ann Strasser of New Madrid; two sons, David Garner of Dexter and Richard Jordan of New Madrid; and 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia Norman; three brothers, Arthur Boyles, Ransom Boyles and Milo Boyles; and one sister, Lectie Johnson.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Chuck Hull of Puxico will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
