Ruby Burton
VANDUSER - Ruby May Burton, 76, died at 3:17 a.m. Nov. 13, 2002, at her home.
Born May 26, 1926, in Crowder, daughter of the late Isaac Waymon and Oma Selby Nichols, she was a member of the Vanduser Church of Christ. She served as an election judge for the Scott County Democratic Central Committee for many years.
On April 18, 1946, in New Madrid, she married Ira L. "Red" Burton who preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1992.
Survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry Joe and Judith A. Burton of East Lynne and Dale Burton of Bell City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Fred Anglin of Glasgow, Ky., and Shirley and Dan Richardson of Bell City; one brother, Walter Nichols of Bell City; and seven grandchildren.
One sister, Bertha Wise, also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Hubert Knight of Paragould, Ark., will officiate.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
