Irene Eddings

CHICAGO - Irene Victoria Hawes "Miss Vicky" Eddings, 63, died Oct. 23, 2002.

Born Jan. 29, 1939, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of the late Pershing and Willie Mae Hawes, she graduated in 1954 from Central High School in Hayti, Mo. She was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church and was employed with the Cook County Circuit Court for more than 24 years.

In 1971, she married Bennie Eddings Jr. who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Richard D. Hawes and three sisters.

Survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Kimberly Eddings and Phyllis and Lynne Bulls of Chicago; one brother, Thomas Jenkins, address unavailable; three sisters, Doris Hawes, Carolyn Mathis and Lynnette Jenkins, addresses unavailable; and four granddaughters.

Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. Monday until service time at noon at Gatling's Chapel in Chicago.

Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Chicago.
