RISCO - Buddy Beck, 80, died Oct. 21, 2006, at Malden Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born May 17, 1926, in Tallapoosa, to the late James Joseph and Lelia Mae Mollineaux Beck, he was a member of Pleasant View General Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II.
On Jan. 20, 1949, at Piggott, Ark., he married Juanita Delores Whittenberg, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and William Wilson of Risco; two brothers, Bobby Beck of Risco and Douglas Beck of Auburn Hills, Mich.; one sister, Virginia Bowman of Pontiac, Mich.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Beck; one sister, Ethel Hamlett; and one grandson.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. The Revs. Vernon Self and Mark Powell officiated.
Burial with full military rites followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
