William Perry

NEW MADRID - William Andrew "Sonny" Perry, 74, died Sept. 30, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Aug. 20, 1928, in Pascola, son of the late George and Ivy Perry, he was a member of the New Madrid Eagles Club, New Madrid County Civil Defense, New Madrid City Auxiliary Police Department and the New Madrid City Fire Department. He worked as a custodian and night watchman for the New Madrid Public Schools before retiring.

On March 30, 1962, he married Addie Lynette Pruitt who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Danny Henry of Morehouse and Andy Perry and Dana Perry of New Madrid; two daughters, Patricia Brewer of Kennett and Marta Sullivan of New Madrid of New Madrid; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, one brother, Arlie Perry, and one sister, Mildred Parker, preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
