Frank Davis Sr.
WEST PLAINS - Frank Shelby Davis Sr., 82, died at 10:10 a.m. May 3, 2003, at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.
Born May 25, 1920, in Charleston, son of the late Fred D. and Mabel Sterrett O'Conner Davis, he was a heavy equipment finish operator before retiring. He was a member of Union 513 and AmVets in West Plains.
On Oct. 24, 1937, he married Frances Ellen Kirkpatrick who preceded him in death on Nov. 1, 1994.
Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law Fred H. Davis of West Plains, Frank S. and Diane Davis Jr. of Tulsa, Okla., and Michael D. and Maria Davis of Boerne, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda M. and Sonny Cross of San Antonio, Texas, Debbie and Jim Tesson of St. Louis and Deanna A. and Guy Ramseur of West Plains; one brother, F.D. Davis of Arkansas; and 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains with Joe Bean officiating.
Graveside services are scheduled for 4 p.m. today at the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
