Wade Husher

SIKESTON - Charles Wade Husher, 80, died May 3, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 13, 1922, in Crowder, son of the late Charlie and Alice Page Husher, he was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for the city of Sikeston before retiring.

His wife, Virginia LaRue Husher, preceded him in death on Jan. 21, 1995.

Survivors include: two sons, Bill Husher and Jim Husher of Farmington; two daughters, Alice Burrows of Drexel Hills, Pa., and Judy Barrett of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters, Pat Kinsey of Crowder and Frances Dismuke of St. Louis; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

One brother and two sisters also preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Steve Tippen, pastor of North Acres General Baptist Church, will officiate.

Military graveside rites will be conducted at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
