BANDON, Ore. - Harold Leslie McClelland, 73, formerly of Oran, Mo., died March 27, 2003, in Bandon.

Born Feb. 12, 1930, in Hopewell, Mo., son of the late Homer and Dezilla Brugere McClelland, he graduated in 1947 from Oran High School. He retired as a deputy sheriff with the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department in Stockton, Calif.

His wife, Joan McClelland, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Larry McClelland of Stockton, Brian McClelland of Casper, Wyo., and Dale L. McClelland of Roseburg, Ore.; two daughters, Leslie Green of Bell City, Mo., and Karen Sue McClelland of Bandon; three stepsons, Rick Abbott and Randy Abbott of Arizona and Brian Shuttles of Eugene, Ore.; two stepdaughters, Tammy Wharton of Ontario, Ore., and Penny Shuttles of Keystone Heights, Fla.; one sister, Velma Carr-Elfrink of Montgomery City, Mo.; one brother, Dale W. McClelland of Stockton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda McClelland.

A memorial service was conducted April 3 the Bandon Chapel.

Bandon Chapel of Amling-Schroeder in Bandon was in charge of arrangements.
