Bob Harris

DEXTER - Leonard R. "Bob" Harris, 71, died Aug. 19, 2002, at his home.

Born Nov. 8, 1930, in Illmo, son of the late Clifton Pearl and Louise Alma Wilson Harris, he was a trainmaster for the Cotton Belt Railroad and U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, H.O. Grauel Masonic Lodge 672 in Cape Girardeau and the Ainad Shrine Temple in Belleville, Ill.

On June 7, 1953, at Illmo, he married Joyce Marie Eakin who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one brother, Charles Harris of Poplar Bluff; and one sister, Elizabeth Shawan of Poplar Bluff.

One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where Masonic rites will be conducted at 6:30 p.m.

Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. Dr. William Vail will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
