BENTON -- Leonard Ray Long, 64, died at 4 a.m. April 9, 2003, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

Born Aug. 17, 1938, in Columbus, Ky., son of the late Byoma and Addie May Wilson Long, he was a freight worker for Yellow Freight Co. based in Detroit, Mich. He was U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include: one son, Danny Long of Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Debbie Robinson of Phoenix, Ariz.; four brothers, Harry Quertermous of Scott City, Arvel Long and Virgil Long of Benton and Bobby Long of Marshall; one sister, Carolyn Butrum of Sikeston; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Marvin Butrum will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery at Benton.
