CHAFFEE - Jackson Charles Nanney, 77, died at 9:12 p.m. Feb. 17, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 15, 1927, in Bollinger County, son of the late James Roscoe and Annie Perry Nanney, he retired as a mechanic and maintenance employee of the Chaffee Housing Authority. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
On April 26, 1947, he married Anna Mae Sadler. He and Barbara Goforth were married March 31, 1976, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Jackson C. Nanney Jr. of Chaffee; four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Mick Owens and Billie and Ron Davis of Chaffee, Judith and Calvin Cardin of Portageville and Pam and Bert Wilson of St. Louis; three stepsons, Ed Lowry of Pevely, Billy Lowry of Festus and Robert Ship of House Springs; two stepdaughters, Donna Lowry and Gina Odom of Hillsboro; two sisters, Pearl Kinder of Allenville and Loretta Harris of Delta; and 13 grandchildren, 12 stepgrandchildren and 14 great-
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
Services were conducted Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with the Revs. Dan Baggett and Wayne Kinder officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date in the Union Park Cemetery.
