SIKESTON - Albrie Dale Forrest, 49, died at 6:38 a.m. Feb. 17, 2005, at his home.
Born Aug. 13, 1955, in Sikeston, son of Benson Forrest and Geneva Dufer Forrest of Sikeston, he served as a private first class with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. A member of Murray Lane Baptist Church and Disabled American Veterans, he was a small business owner self-employed as a car buyer and professional painter.
On Feb. 14, 1999, in Sikeston, he married Betty Sue Brewer who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include: one son and daughter-
in-law, Michael Dale and Jennifer of Haslet, Texas; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. Terry and Sharron True of Trussville, Ala., and Dale and Faith True of Cape Girardeau; one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Leah Kay and Cory Bower of Christ Church, New Zealand; one brother, Benson James "Joe" Forrest of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters, Toleitha Campbell and Angela Sloan of Sikeston; and one grandson and five stepgrandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Kelly Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, and the Rev. Jim Hoydt, pastor of the Agee Fellowship Church of Poplar Bluff, will officiate.
The Missouri Military Honors Program will conduct graveside rites at the Missouri State Veterans' Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Pallbearers will be: John Rhoda, Larry McRoy, Shawn Clinton, Blake Sloan, Noel Cantrell and Bobby Himes.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends from the Cream Castle.
