Jean Mattingly
PUXICO - Jean Mattingly, 67, died April 7, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Born June 25, 1935, in Dudley, daughter of the late Albert Edward and Essie Mae Pullum Choat, she lived in the Dudley and Puxico communities all her life. She retired from Facet Incorporated and was a member of the Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church near Dudley.
On June 28, 1951, near Puxico, she married Leahman Lavell Mattingly who preceded her in death on June 1, 1990.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jeanetta Phillips of Puxico; four sisters, Edna Scates of Poplar Bluff, Vivian Merideth of Bloomfield, Glenda Propst of House Springs and Mary Brown of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Kim Rath, Brandi Phillips and Jacqueline Phillips of Puxico; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Choat, Earl Choat, Pete Choat and Ike Choat; and two sisters, Barbara Choat and Pearl Choat.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Hobbs Chapel Cemetery near Dudley.
