Francis Blake

BERNIE - Francis Deloris Blake, 56, died April 6, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 31, 1946, in Gideon, daughter of the late Buddy and Drusilla Richardson Lacey, she was of the Pentecostal belief.

On April 28, 1975, in New Madrid, she married Melvin Junior "Buddy" Blake who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Sherry Brunzel and Anita Thacker of Lawrenceburg, Ky., and Beth Sheehan of Poplar Bluff; one stepdaughter, Lavonda Jo Brown of Hayti; one stepson, Ken Turner of Malden; three brothers, William Lacey of Poplar Bluff, Roy Lacey of Van Buren and Harvey Lacey of Gideon; two sisters, Jannette Byford and Vallarre Foster of Texas; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Lacey and one sister, Ruthann Vandiver.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Bill Pennington will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
